The huge volunteer turnout and support made this West View Day one for the record books! I am completely in awe of what we accomplish when we all get together.
Since it was our first year back, we learned a lot about how to organize such a big event in the "new" space. Once you've had a chance to rest, we'd love to hear any feedback or thoughts you have about what made today great and any challenges we need to solve for next year.

Volunteer Schedule
IMPORTANT - Buses will be bringing kids to school between 8am-8:30am and parking will not be available at the school, please plan to park off campus and walk to Gym Lobby.
All Day (8am-2pm) - Arrive at 8am, Volunteer Meeting at 8:10, Setup at 8:20, Students arrive at 8:45.
First Shift (8:30-11:30) - Arrive at 8:30, Volunteer Meeting at 8:35, Meet students at your first location at 8:45.
Second Shift (11:00-2:00) - Arrive at 11am, Volunteer Meeting at 11:05, Join students at your first location at 11:15.
Volunteer Lunch - Pizza will be available 11:30-12:00 in the Auditorium & Gym Lobby.
Clean up - Starts at the end of the last activity. Back lot must be cleared by 2:30 for Car Line dismissal.
Floater - When tasked as a Floater please look around and see what areas of your location could use extra support. We have many volunteers this year, and many floaters.
Locations
Parking - Parking will be extremely limited, please consider carpooling with a friend or walking. School lots will be blocked for West View Day activities, please park in public lots in West View or on side streets around the school.
Gym Lobby - Volunteer check in & bathrooms. You will receive your T-Shirt at check in and can store any change of clothes/purse/bag in the PTA storage area above the lobby.
Stage - Location for Silent Disco & Photo booth. We will have a DJ this year providing the headsets and music, including kids requests. The curtains will be closed for a fun "backstage" experience. Entrance is located underneath the center stairwell.
Front - (Playground Lot) Location for Bounce Houses, Coach Dave Gray, and Kona Ice. This is the lot next to the Gym facing Chalfonte Ave. Kids will have access to the playground as well as the activities listed above.
Back - (Playground Lot) Location for Face Paint, Dunk Tank, Outdoor games, and more Bounce Houses. This is the lot behind the school near the cafeteria. Kids will have access to the playground as well as the activities listed above.
Class Schedule
Since we are working around Specials, Lunch, and Recess, these times look a bit different than the last 2 years. Students will be celebrating all day (rather than half) and we are fitting activities around all the things happening daily in our school!
* 2nd Grade will start their last activity at the back lot at 1pm, due to their Lunch/Recess schedule.

Are Volunteers allowed to take their students with them at the end of West View Day?
Yes - you must update School Dismissal Manager (SDM) with the following Dismissal Instructions:
Add Exception:
- Dismissal Instruction: Walker - Bike Rider
- Dismissal Sub Option: Walker
- Note: West View Day Volunteer
Please let us know when you check in for volunteering if you plan on taking your student home with you.
